Wiras Village, Canggu – A Real Stay Review
When we were in Wiras, it felt like home.
Home!? What a way to start, right? But that’s genuinely how it felt living in Wiras Village for nearly a month.
Staying in a hotel long-term is a different game from a short luxury getaway. When you’re passing through, it’s easy to splurge on a fancy villa. But when you’re settling in for weeks, you care more about things that actually work comfort, cleanliness, location, and consistency. That’s where Wiras Village shines.
🌿 First Impressions
From the moment we arrived, there was a homey vibe that was hard to miss. The room was spotless, with clean bed sheets, a comfortable mattress, and pillows that invited sleep far too easily.
The housekeeping stayed consistent throughout our stay. The staff were kind, always ready to help, and made us feel like part of the community.
Add to that some decent storage space, and you’re no longer living out of a bag.
🛌 Accommodation & Amenities
Wiras isn’t trying to be a five-star resort, and that’s okay. What it offers is exactly what you need for a long, easy stay:
- Clean, cozy rooms with comfy beds and private balconies
- Air-conditioning and a proper bathroom with a good shower
- Shared kitchen for meal prepping
- Wi-Fi throughout the property, fast and stable enough for video calls and streaming
- Flat-screen TV and safe box (though we rarely used the TV)
- A small pool surrounded by a peaceful garden it often feels like your own private pool
There’s no gym or sports facilities, which would’ve been a nice bonus, especially for long-term stays. But with beaches and yoga studios nearby, there are still ways to stay active.
🧹 Cleanliness & Housekeeping
- Rooms are cleaned daily up until 4 PM
- Bedsheets are fresh and replaced regularly
- Staff ensures common areas and the pool are maintained well
- The pool does have slightly high chlorine levels, so bring goggles if you’re sensitive
📍 Location & Safety
This is one of Wiras Village’s strongest features. The location puts you:
- In a quiet cul-de-sac just off the main road
- Walking distance to Canggu Beach, Batu Bolong, and Nelayan Beach
- Surrounded by cafes, eateries, and convenience stores
You get the buzz of Canggu without the noise and chaos. The property is smoke-free, has a front desk staffed 24/7, and includes smoke detectors, extinguishers, and a first-aid kit.
Each room comes with a safe for valuables. While there’s no keycard or gated access mentioned, we felt safe at all times even walking back at night.
🧑💼 Staff & Service
The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful throughout. But note:
- Only 2–3 staff members are usually on duty at any time
- During busy hours, services like luggage handling can be missed
- English proficiency varies, but everyone is eager to assist
💼 Remote Work & Wi-Fi
If you’re working remotely, this is a solid choice. The room includes a workspace setup, and the Wi-Fi is fast, reliable, and available throughout the property. Video calls, uploads, and streaming were all smooth.
