Planning wedding in Bali? That’s a great idea! We did it and it was the best decision we have ever made. The whole thing didn’t cost us fortune, and it went on very smoothly. Like for real. Just to give you an idea, I am from the Philippines, and my husband is from Egypt so just flight tickets alone is so expensive if we travel from Manila to Cairo and vice versa plus the hassle of visa, so you guessed it! We decided to do everything in Bali which will be easier for both of us.
In this post, I will share with you everything you need to know about the wedding in Bali and how to plan it. I will also share to you the expenses we have incurred in the whole thing. However, please note that we did our wedding back in May 2024 so depending on when you are reading this, the pricing may have gone up so please do your research as well.
The amount of research and planning we did for this whole thing is insane, like, we planned everything while we are both in our own countries and the way it turned out perfectly and even better is beyond my imagination. Anyway, as promised, here are the details for you.
Our Wedding Organizer – Bali Moon Wedding
FYI. This is not sponsored or whatever, but this is purely informative and will shoot in our honest feedback in here as well. For privacy purposes, I won’t attach here the original receipts and files we received from Bali Moon since it has our names and information, but I will layout everything here, don’t worry!
If you only search in Google some wedding in Bali or Bali Wedding organizers, you will surely find loads of option in there. At first, we are thinking of yacht theme wedding but the organizer we found doesn’t respond fast on our emails and messages. We found Bali Moon simply from google search as well and I contacted them through Whatsapp and they are very responsive and really accommodating.
General Requirements for Wedding in Bali
Well, in general, here are the requirements Bali Moon gave me without considering what kind of wedding you are planning to have which I will talk about more in a bit.
- Passports
- Birth certificate
- Divorce certificate / Death declaration from the civil government if you have ever married before
- Affidavit for Marital Status / Certificate of No Impediment valid for 3 months from your Consulate or Embassy in Bali/ Indonesia
- A photo of both of you
- All documents except your passports needs to be translated to Indonesian by sworn translator at IDR 250,000 per page from English to Indonesian
Hey! If you have any questions about any of those requirements or anything, don’t ask me! Feel free to contact Bali Moon Wedding. Their website is: www.balimoonwedding.com and they Whatsapp number is: +6281222469546.
Lots of requirements, right? Well, no problem! They offer legal wedding which requires all of those listed above and they also have a non-legal wedding who doesn’t require much stuff but at the same time, you will only get a certificate that is not legally considered in Bali nor in your country so be mindful of that.
Here are their Elopement Packages that you can browse over.
Muslim Wedding Ceremony
Here is the package Bali Moon offered us. If you go with the same package but non-legal option, you will get everything that is listed in there as well except for the legal paperwork, local government fees, and the legal book of marriage.
We did non-legal wedding and the charge us for only IDR 15,100,000. Basically, less IDR 2,000,000. Right after this ceremony, we did the legal paperwork in our country and we didn’t have to re-do everything. Please be mindful that we are Muslim and the registration for Muslim marriage in the Philippines is very easy compared to other religions so please do your own research.

After paying the downpayment with them, they immediately ask me for the bouquet style I like, and they sent me this link that has loads of options. I chose this pink one and I really love it. I have below some images of the actual flowers they deliver.

Hair and Make-up is Included
On the package they offered above, hair and makeup is already included. So, right after I pay the downpayment of 30%, they asked me of what style of hair and makeup do I like. And so, I sent them pictures. Also, together with it, I sent them accommodation for Bali Prime Villas.
Bali Prime Villas
I uploaded our pictures in Pinterest. You can check this link to browse along.
We had a hard time at first looking for a venue for our wedding but we have stumbled upon Bali Prime Villas and we immediately thought, this is the one. We contacted them on Whatsapp to discuss our plans but we have booked them through Booking.com. You can look for the Honeymoon Package in the options. Make sure to plan ahead as this place is always sold out.

The Best Part is No Hidden Charges ~
Seriously. We just paid for the accommodation alone, whatever you see in Booking.com, that’s what we paid for only! No extra fees for holding an event. We informed them on the chat and they were good, they told us to just invite the organizers, no problem.
We stayed in the accommodation for 2 nights only and we paid IDR 4,972,500. Again, this is what we paid in May 2024 so pricing may vary.
You may book your stay depending on the app of your choice. Let me give you quick links below for so it will be easier for you. Here are the top 3 apps you can book from.

Our Wedding Rundown
Basically, everything listed below has been followed. Everything goes smoothly.

After the wedding, we had the candlelit dinner set up by the villa.

And that is pretty much how it went. We had the certificates right after we ceremony.
