We went to Luljetta’s Hanging Gardens and Suites in Antipolo, Philippines for my husband’s birthday. This visit is not my first time here but my husband’s first and I will provide here his personal insights on how the whole stay is or if whatever we paid for is worth it. In the past years since 2022, I have been staying in Luljetta’s every now and then so I am completely familiar with the place and I will share below the packages I have booked with Luljetta’s and a short review for each of them but the main review we will be discussing today is the latest booking we have that cost us 18,568 pesos!

Just a quick hack for you, Indrive is way cheaper than Grab like sometimes, the fair is even half the fare of Grab, try it below.

Why so expensive?

Well, to be fair, Luljetta’s offer a lot of different options and packages that costs lower but we chose one of the best since it is a celebration for us. Anyway, this is a whole package that includes a lot. Here is the breakdown of what we have paid for. Please note that this is the pricing at the time we booked last Oct 2024 and their pricing might have changed overtime so it is better to check with the hotel directly.

First Impression – His POV

Before I share his POV, please note that my husband is Egyptian and I know insights may vary depending on the person. He has been traveling a lot as well and have seen lots of places and this will be his genuine review of the place.

We were just in Bali few months prior to our stay in Luljetta’s and the whole theme of this hotel except for the Mykonos Suites seems to be Balinese so I keep telling him before we stay that he might be disappointed because this is like Bali but upon arrival, he is impressed for real. I will link a recording for you of his insights of the whole stay and place.

About the Hanging Gardens Spa

The first thing we did upon arrival is go for relaxation to the Hanging Gardens. Here is the map for your reference.

Your first stop would be at the locker. The staff will give you batik robe and baskets with your towels and keys and you can leave your things in the locker room. Male and Female locker room are separated but they are just next to each other. From there, you can walk straight to the Jacuzzi and Sauna Rooms and have your first set of relaxation done. On the same part is the mini-infinity pool where you can jump in after your sauna and jacuzzi.

“The heated jacuzzi is very nice to start with and the temperature is just right. The sauna is just beside the jacuzzi and there is a lemon water on the side, but the sauna room is very small to what I’m used to, but it works fine for 2 people but only for sitting, not possible to lay down. The garden on the way there is also very beautiful and soothing.

Once we finished the first area we went back to the cafe for the free snack.

The next stop can be the Dr. Fish which is just right down the Sauna rooms. They are really fun and great experience but unfortunately, we don’t feel like the are totally clean. The staff needs to maintain them better.

My husband’s favorite part of the garden is the Hydro Massage Pool, he really enjoyed it there. By the time we are there it was raining so hard and he enjoy it more.

There is lunch served as well afterwards and you can enjoy the rest of the garden. My husband didn’t like the food though, he got the smoked chicken while I got the salmon.

The chicken is too smokey for me, the rice is okay but they could have done better with the chicken.”

There is also game room in there where you can do billboards and do yoga. Lots of stuff to do.

The only thing is the place is so huge and I think it is hard for the staff to maintain the whole place. We found some unused jacuzzi that is dirty and also there are dead spots in the place. What I mean by that is dirty spots. Hope they will be able to maintain cleanliness in the whole place and it will be very good. I think the only well maintained area is the part where the jacuzzi is, the small garden in the entrance.

The Manicure & Full Body Massage

I don’t recommend the manicure, it’s too expensive for it and they just simply do it the classic way, ripped off after 2 days. Anyway, the full body massage is worth trying, we tried Borneo spa in Sabah, Balinese spa in Bali and this one right here is different. How I will explain it is it is in the middle of Borneo and Balinese. Borneo style spa is too harsh (we got body ache for 1 week lol) and Balinese is too light like I didn’t feel much there. The Luljetta’s Signature Massage is just right in the middle. I highly recommend the massage to everyone going to the hanging gardens.

Mykonos Suites – Mini Suite

After the spa, we went ahead and go to Mykonos Suites to check in. Here is the map for your reference.

We stayed at the Mini Suite and it is great. This is one of my favorite rooms. It has a kitchen inside which is awesome, we just didn’t like the fact that the TV inside seems to have been placed in the wrong spot, like not in front of the bed, no in front of the couch, it is almost in the kitchen. It is a very bad spot.

Anyway, aside from that, the Mykonos offers a private pool for Mykonos guests only that you can access anytime.

However, the price is kind of pricey. We booked a lot of places even better than this that costs cheaper. I don’t think it is worth it for the price for 1 night only.

Romantic Dinner

This package alone costs 5k which I think is fine for the set up and my husband really liked it.

They gave us some options or where they want to set up the dinner. The food is really good, and you will have your own waiter who will serve you your food. Romantic music, 4 course meal, I think it is really worth it. We are able to make a lovely memory in this dinner. Compared the to the lunch, he really like it.

He got Lamb steak & Rib eye steak, both well done. Dessert is Red Velvet and Choco Tablea.
